Loveland, Colorado is known in many circles internationally and nationally as an arts community. We are also known as ‘The Sweetheart City’ in part due to the Loveland Chamber of Commerce’s Valentine Re-mailing Program, which is the largest of its kind in the nation. The Chamber and the United States Postal Service have been teaming up for 70 years with their internationally renowned Valentine Re-mailing Program. This program re-mails more than 130,000 cards each year from all 50 states and more than 110 countries. Visit https://loveland.org/ValentineRe-MailingProgram for more information on the Valentine re-mailing program. Locally, The Loveland Chamber of Commerce oversees the “City with HeART™ program. These fiberglass hearts are 5' tall and 4.5' wide. Each heart is individually sponsored. Owners of the heart choose their artist and their artwork is created. They also give their heart a name. When the heart is ready to display, the Loveland Chamber of Commerce does a HeART revealing ceremony to promote and share with the community. To see a photo gallery online, go to https://loveland.org/HeARTSofLoveland/index.php. A photo of the heart is placed on the City with HeART map with all the locations listed so tourist and locals can enjoy the hearts visually as well as touring our town. Want more? This HeART map was also created for visitors and residents to engage in a community event: Locate each heart and snap a photo; when you have all the hearts pictured, go to the Visitor’s Center and you will receive a souvenir gift from The City of Loveland. The objective of this program is to encourage people of all ages and backgrounds—from the area and around the world—to have fun and celebrate a culture of HeARTs with us!
