Independent Financial, VP and Manager, Berthoud Financial Center Originally from Staten Island New York, and graduate of Loveland High School, Debbie made a permanent move back to Colorado in 1994. Debbie began her banking career while attending college in Seattle, Washington in 1989. For the past 16 years, she has been lender, and manager of the Berthoud Branch for Independent Financial. Debbie holds licenses in Colorado for Life, Health and Disability Insurance, is a Registered Paraplanner from the College of Financial Planning and Certified Senior Advisor with the Society of Certified Senior Advisors. She has prior experience as a Series 7 and 66 Registered Advisor in Investment Brokerage. Debbie is experienced in, Consumer & Commercial Lending, Financial Planning, Private Banking, Business Banking, Real Estate and Branch Financial Management. Community Service includes current roles as the Board Chair for the Loveland Downtown Partnership, Treasurer & Past President of the Commercial Real Estate Women’s Northern Colorado Chapter, Director on the Government Affairs Committee with the Loveland Berthoud Association of Realtors, and Ambassador with the Loveland Chamber of Commerce. Debbie is a Leadership Loveland Graduate and has served as an Executive Board Director & Chair of the Loveland Chamber of Commerce. She also served as Board VP, Treasurer & Marketing Committee Chair for Thompson Valley Health Services District (EMS) and was Trustee, Board of Directors for the Loveland Elks Lodge and Chair of their Historic Building Rehab Project. In prior years, Debbie served as Board President for the Berthoud Chamber of Commerce, Past Economic Development Committee Chair for the Berthoud Main Street Program and as a Director on the Berthoud Economic Resource Team. Major Achievements - Debbie and her husband Craig have owned and operated several successful small businesses, most recently a high end custom home theater/electronics businesses in Loveland. Together they have raised 5 children, and have 8 grandchildren. Debbie was recognized as a Notable Women in Banking in 2021 by BizWest, awarded a “Women of Distinction“ award in 2019 by BizWest. In 2015 she received the most honorable “The Heart Award of Loveland” from the Loveland Chamber of Commerce, which is an award for those who demonstrate selflessness, leadership and community pride, without receiving monetary or professional rewards. Fun Facts – Before learning how to drive a vehicle, one of the first income generating skills learned upon moving to Colorado, was learning how to trap, skin & tan various animal hides to be sold to fur traders in Loveland.
