OPERATION LOVE – SHARING OUR HEARTS WITH HEALTHCARE WHILE

BOOSTING OUR LOCAL BUSINESSES

The nation’s Sweetheart City aims to bring letters of encouragement and gift cards from our area businesses to our healthcare heroes in the name of love

LOVELAND, Colo. – January 7, 2021 –Loveland, the nation’s Sweetheart City, will be spreading love and joy locally to our Healthcare workers. It is no secret our healthcare workers are not only exhausted, but mentally and emotionally taxed. They have made incredible sacrifices to help provide quality care for our community. They too have been stricken with COVID-19 and many of them are working double shifts to help cover for their quarantined coworkers. Our Healthcare HEROES need our encouragement and support to stay motivated during this ever continuing fight.  As a result, we are reaching out to our community for support.

Today, the Loveland Chamber of Commerce, Visit Loveland, and City of Loveland Parks & Recreation are partnering to launch -

Operation Love – Sharing our hearts with healthcare while boosting business

The community call to action is simple:

  1. Write and submit letters of encouragement to our healthcare workers
  2. Donate to purchase gift cards from our local businesses to be distributed to our healthcare HEROES

The McKee Foundation and UCHealth Northern Colorado Foundation have partnered with us to distribute the letters and gift cards to healthcare heroes as we receive them.

You can drop off your letters of support to any of the follow drop box locations.

The red drop box will be labeled with “Operation Love” and in a visible location.

“We are so appreciative of the Loveland Chamber of Commerce for creating the Operation Love program.  Our healthcare workers have been working tirelessly through this unprecedented pandemic for almost a year.  Many are working additional shifts and taking time away from their families and loved ones to expertly and compassionately care for members of our community.  One thing we hear over and again from our team members is how much they appreciate the community support and especially free meals!” Wendy Sparks, Interim Chief Executive Officer, Banner Health Northern Colorado
