The UCHealth Sounds of Centerra concert series returns to Chapungu Sculpture Park at Centerra on Friday, July 7 for its tenth season. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and find a comfortable spot on the Great Lawn to enjoy this year’s line-up from local and regional musicians. The performances will vary from traditional melodies to classic rock to contemporary bands, offering something for everyone. The concerts will be held on the Chapungu Great Lawn from 7 to 9 p.m. every Friday in July and are free to the public.

Friday, July 7: 101st Army Rock Band – Rock n’ Roll
The 101st Army Rock Band plays a high-energy mix of rock and roll from the 70’s all the way through to the present. The group specializes in horn-driven funk and dance music, and has been featured at the Army-Wide Bandleader’s Conference, the Colorado Military Ball, the Denver People’s Fair and the Denver Independence Eve Celebration.
Friday, July 14: Face Vocal Band – A Capella
Face is an internationally acclaimed all-vocal rock band from Boulder, Colorado. Face has been captivating audiences for over a decade with their infectious energy punctuated by an endearing love of performance.
Friday, July 21: Ryan Chrys & The Rough Cuts – Country
Ryan Chrys and the Rough Cuts formed in January 2013, and have since been touring steadily through the North, Mid and South West states. Their music features a unique, edgy, country sound.
Friday, July 28: Soul School – Funk, R&B
Soul School features extensive entertainment experience and a vast repertoire of music which includes Golden Oldies, Beach, Motown, Country, Jazz, Rock, Funk, Rhythm and Blues and Contemporary.
Chick-fil-A will be onsite offering $5 dinner packages and Rock Bottom will offer concert-night carry out specials including Crispy chicken fingers for $8.99 and Fresh Mex tacos for $12.49. Rock Bottom will honor 10% off the day of the concerts on food purchases when you mention Sounds of Centerra. Complimentary popcorn and water will also be provided by Thompson Valley High School Band Boosters, while supplies last.
