“We are so excited to celebrate this milestone with our Northern Colorado community,” says Executive Director, Jan Pollema. “This community went above and beyond for us on this project. Inviting the public to come enjoy our new space and find out more about our programs is the least we can do. We’re so happy to share this place.”
The Grand Opening will include music by Magnolia String Band, food courtesy of Loveland, Big Thompson Kiwanis, and a ribbon cutting by the Loveland Chamber of Commerce at 3 p.m. Instructors and therapists will offer educational presentations throughout the afternoon to demonstrate the benefits of therapeutic riding. Presentations will include two riding demos at 2:30 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. and one vaulting demo at 3:30 p.m.
Hearts & Horses has been a proud member of the Loveland community since 1997 and serves participants from Loveland and the surrounding communities seven days a week. Recently Hearts & Horses was named Non Profit of the Year by the Loveland Chamber of Commerce in January of 2014, a testament to the amazing work done for individuals with disabilities in the community. Thanks to diverse programing Hearts & Horses is able to meet the needs of a huge cross-section of the community in need. Children and adults with physical and cognitive impairments, youth at risk, individuals with Alzheimer’s, and veterans are meeting life goals thanks to an interaction with a horse.
