A Fresh Face Downtown

By Tracie Hartman

Fresh Plate Cafe and Catering

Tracie Hartman started Fresh Plate Catering three years ago. She is now planning to open Fresh Plate Cafe and Catering at 325 N. Cleveland Ave. in October. Her cafe will be a breakfast-and-lunch restaurant with a catering piece. She focuses on high-quality ingredients. She loves to take a traditional item and put a distinctive twist on it. The deli will have a grab and go case for people in a hurry as well as an order counter. Breakfast seekers can choose from burritos and Paninis, cereal and juices. At lunch, she'll have sandwiches, soups and salads. She wants everyone who walks through the doors to be able to find something that sounds marvelous to them. Fresh Plate Cafe will be open from 7 am to 3 pm Monday through Saturday.
