If you see a star (*) next to the field label, that field is required and you will not be able to go forward until that field has valid input. If you see the background of a field go bright red it indicates the field does NOT have valid input. If you hover the mouse over that field you should be able to see the error message.

Local Executive Director Wins National Award

Aspen House Memory Care Assisted Living

The National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) today announced the 2014 honorees of its NCAL Awards Program. The program recognizes assisted living employees from around the country who demonstrate exemplary work within the profession.

 “These four individuals represent the best of assisted living and the inspiring work that goes on in our communities every day,” said NCAL Executive Director Dave Kyllo. “NCAL is honored to award such dedicated professionals who exemplify what it means to provide person-centered care.”

 This year, the Administrator of the Year was awarded to Jean Cannon at Aspen House Memory Care Assisted Living in Loveland, Colorado.

 Jean Cannon was named the 2013 Administrator of the Year by the Colorado Health Care Association and is a champion for providing person-centered care to individuals living with dementia. She is certified in Dementia Care from the Alzheimer’s Association. In 2013, Ms. Cannon was elected to the Board of Directors of the Colorado Culture Change Coalition, an organization that promotes person-centered values and philosophy of care. Additionally, Ms. Cannon is a national speaker on dementia and person-centered care.

 The award winners will be recognized at a special awards ceremony on October 5, 2014, in Washington, D.C. during the Eighth Annual NCAL Day held as part of the 65th Annual AHCA/NCAL Annual Convention & Expo.
