Loveland Loves BBQ, Bands and Brews Announces Entertainment Lineup

A mix of talent will rock downtown Loveland July 12, 13

LOVELAND, Colo. – June 6, 2013 – Colorado’s extensive music scene has put the state on the map as a destination for festivals and other major concert events. The annual Loveland Loves BBQ, Bands and Brews event has embraced this reputation and brings the best of Colorado’s music scene to Loveland.

Held in downtown Loveland on July 12 and 13, those attending Loveland Loves BBQ, Bands and Brews are sure to enjoy a wide variety of music genres including Celtic, Country, Funk and Rock.  At the event, there will be three bands on Friday and six on Saturday to appeal to all audience members.

All proceeds from Loveland Loves BBQ, Bands and Brews benefits local non-profits House of Neighborly Service and the Boys & Girls Club of Larimer County.

Friday, July 12

Johnny Johnston – Acoustic Blues

4:30 p.m.

Johnston has been performing blues across America for the past 20 years. He is known for his fingerpickin,’ slide guitar and vocals. More information can be found at his website, www.johnnyjohnston.com.

Plumb Loco – Rock ‘n’ Roll

6 p.m.

Plumb Loco has been performing for more than 30 years across the country and internationally.  The band is known for their classic rock and country sounds.  More information is available at http://www.plumbloco.com/.

Soul School – Funk

8 p.m.

Bringing energy to funk and oldies, Soul School performs a wide variety of funk, blues and jazz for attendees.  For more information, visit http://www.soulschoollive.com/index.html.

Saturday, July 13

Downtown Country Sound – Country

12 p.m.

This two-man show plays a mix of music that includes blues, country, rock and other favorites. Visit http://www.downtowncountrysound.com/index.html for more information.

Dixie Leadfoot & the Chrome Struts – Rock-a-Billy

1:30 p.m.

The band has performed in various venues across the state and country.  They are widely known for their Rock-a-Billy sound and playing of the upright bass. For more information, visit http://www.reverbnation.com/dixieleadfoot.

Jerry Shaffer & the Darn Thirsty Cowboys – Contemporary Country

3 p.m.

This country band has traveled the country, often opening for national acts, but recently decided to come home to Loveland.

The Indulgers – Celtic

4:30 p.m.

This Irish band was named ‘Best Band’ of the 2011 Colorado Irish Festival by Examiner.com. Although they focus on Celtic, their music applies to all audiences. Hear for yourself at www.shamrocker.com.

Amplified Souls – Classic Rock

6 p.m.

That Eighties Band – 80’s Tribute

8 p.m.

A Colorado favorite, the band has played in various venues across the state and continues to get the crowds going wherever they play. www.eightiesband.net.
