Jim Maggio, SitTXT Broadcast

December 2011 - Featured Monthly Investor

Even jet-setting business professionals recognize and appreciate their local Chamber of Commerce. Jim Maggio, owner of SitTXT Broadcast, a local text-message marketing company, is a prime example.  When Jim isn’t overseas working on deals for his technology companies, he is embracing his local community and working to add value at any stage. For his contributions to the Chamber through the Marketing Resource Committee, leads group involvement and help with membership drives, Jim has been recognized as our December 2011 Featured Monthly Investor.

Jim has been with the Chamber’s Marketing Resource Committee for nearly two years. He immediately jumped in with ideas and opportunities to help drive the committee’s focus. A major focus for the committee is assisting with Valentine’s Day programs and promotion to help increase exposure for Loveland and its businesses. Jim was instrumental in the creation of the Valentine Business Decorating Contest in 2010 as he helped develop the idea with other committee members and his company, SitTxt, volunteered to run the website and text message voting for the Chamber.  He is also leading the charge to create a giant lit heart that will be displayed in Loveland to showcase valentine’s season and, for the past two years, has helped judged Loveland’s official valentine card/cachet contest.

“Jim is not only an involved investor with the Loveland Chamber of Commerce, but he is also an exceptional community advocate who believes in giving back,” said Brian Willms, president/CEO of the Loveland Chamber of Commerce. “It is clear that Jim loves Loveland and takes pride in his local community, even as a global business professional. He never asks for anything in return; he enjoys offering his services and assistance to benefit the community and the efforts of our Marketing Resource Committee wouldn’t be where they are today without him.”

In addition to the Marketing Resource Committee, Jim is involved with the Chamber’s leads groups, including Early Birds. As one of the most active participants, Jim always brings new ideas and referral sources to the group.  Jim assists with membership as well – he generously gives his time at Chamber membership drives and in the process, has referred four businesses to the Chamber.
