Eric Weedin, Weedin Insurance Agency

February 2013 - Featured Monthly Investor

Eric Weedin, of Weedin Insurance Agency, has been serving the community of Loveland for many years.  His enthusiasm for providing exceptional customer service in insurance is apparent.  His passion for chamber involvement started young as he watched his father and grandfather serve as members. Being a member of the chamber is a necessity for him and his business.  His willingness to serve the chamber as well as the community is why he is the February Featured Monthly Investor.

“Eric is always wearing a smile and makes others feel so welcome,” said Mindy McCloughan, CEO of the Chamber of Commerce.  “His passion for the community overflows in everything he does and I know that any time I call Eric he would jump at the opportunity to serve.”

His dedication to the chamber and participation in many events makes Eric stand out as a valuable member to the chamber.  His involvement in the community extends beyond the chamber, as he participates in other professional organizations in hopes of bringing the best services possible to his clients.  His professionalism and loyalty to the community stand out to all that encounter him at chamber events.

“I'm proud to have Eric on the chamber’s team and I look forward to working with him for many years to come,” said McCloughan.

Hear it from Eric:

How have you capitalized on your Loveland Chamber investment and what has it brought you?

Weedin Agency has been investing in the Loveland Chamber for decades.  My Grandfather was even chamber president back in the ‘60s.  We've always felt we were members of the chamber for a couple of main reasons. First, it is the right thing to do.  I believe a healthy business environment in general helps our community in making sure we can have the nice benefits of living in the beautiful city of Loveland.  Second, our investment makes sense because of the help growing our agency's presence and business.  People know about our involvement and like to do business with people that are a part of the community.  Other business owners see our time with the chamber and get to know and trust us, leading to many great business relationships and opportunities.

What chamber events, committees etc. do you find the most valuable?

I find value in every event sponsored by the chamber.  The value of each event depends on the time and effort I can put into the event.  I grow relationships with other business people at the social events and I raise community awareness of Weedin Insurance by volunteering at more public events.

What would you say to someone considering chamber investment?

Businesspeople should absolutely invest in chamber membership.  If you are willing to put yourself out there through dedicated involvement with the Loveland Chamber, your investment will be returned many times over.

What has been the top benefit to you for your chamber involvement?

The top benefit of our chamber involvement is the top of mind awareness created among other business leaders in our community.  I don't get to write insurance for every business or individual in Loveland, but because of our involvement, we gain far more opportunity than those not involved.  My second favorite benefit is getting to know so many talented, smart businesspeople.

Which events will we see you at in February/March?

I'm a little embarrassed to say that due to my commitments as President of the Professional Independent Insurance Agents of Colorado, I'm ending up with far more conflicts to my normal chamber events.  I do look forward to seeing other investors at Business After Hours, Net Gains Leads Group and maybe even a Business Before Hours!  Events help get you the most bang for your buck out of your chamber investment!
