Cheryl Redmond, Dental Fitness & Spa

September 2011 - Featured Monthly Investor

Cheryl Redmond, owner of Loveland-based Dental Fitness & Spa, is a great example of how even relatively new Chamber investors can jump in, give back and achieve ROI. Since joining the Loveland Chamber in 2010, Cheryl has made it a point to meet other investors, get involved and ultimately, give back to her Chamber community.

As a Chamber Ambassador, Cheryl is active in events and membership. Not only is Cheryl a staple at ribbon cutting ceremonies for new investors, she lead all Ambassadors and volunteers with the first Membership Drive of 2011 by referring one new Chamber investors and 10 new prospects. Another notch in her belt, Cheryl has been among the top three contenders for the Ambassador of the Month award four times throughout 2011. Cheryl was named Ambassador of the month in March 2011and became secretary for the Ambassador program in June 2011. Outside of the Membership Drive, Cheryl often takes on member thank you calls and brings new business ideas to the Chamber.

“Cheryl has a huge heart and beaming smile. Every time you are around Cheryl you are inspired and your day is better. As an Ambassador, she is very generous with her time and help. We can count on Cheryl to help with everything from greeting at events to being at Ribbon Cuttings. Cheryl is very reliable and does everything with an upbeat attitude. When we need extra help Cheryl is one of the first people to jump at the opportunity,” said Ann Baron, business development manager at the Loveland Chamber of Commerce.

In addition to her Ambassador contributions, Cheryl generally enjoys being a part of the Chamber and the community. When Cheryl is not motorcycling, she volunteers for a variety of opportunities including Loveland’s largest festival, the Corn Roast Festival.

Hear it from Cheryl:

1. How have you capitalized on your Loveland Chamber investment and what has it brought you?

The Ambassador 'club'. I have a wonderful opportunity to meet new business owners, find out what businesses are available in Loveland, and help others make connections. The reward for me has been steady business growth and great friends.

2. What Chamber events, committees etc. do you find the most valuable?

Being an Ambassador keeps me 'in the know' of what's happening as far as new or existing Businesses and Business Before Hours is a fun way to meet and socialize with other business owners.

3. What would you say to someone considering Chamber investment?

When I joined I was not sure about what the Chamber was going to 'do for me'. What I realized is the Chamber has lots of opportunities to connect, and advertise my business by face to face meetings and follow-up phone calls in the Ambassador group and fun social events - I just have to be willing to take the time and make the effort to use those opportunities.

4. What has been the top benefit to you for your chamber involvement?

Community involvement along with business growth and lots of great friends.

5. Which events will we see you in September?

Business Before and After Hours, Ambassador meetings, the fun, informative ribbon cuttings and the membership drive.
